The rings have arrived today. The engraving will be done Thursday and I'll be picking them up at the end of the week. I'm so happy they are in with plenty of time left.

Erin's Passport showed up but mine still hasn'tposted by TJ

A couple weeks ago, Erin and I gathered all of our documents needed to get a passport and met downtown and got that ball rolling. Just the other day, Erin got hers in the mail but mine wasn't with it. It has been probably 3-4 days now and still nothing. I really hope it comes soon.

I got the email - My dress has arrived in Chicago! I tried it on, and it's perfect- a couple stitches needed for the bustle and I'm ready to go. Also, the veil that we had them make out of my mom's is finished and looks great!

Because TJ and I are having our wedding in a state park we cannot have birdseed or rice. I'm not particularly fond of bubbles- especially with my lovely ladies wearing dark purple. So I did some research and found some water soluble confetti online. Today I got it and after a coworker ate some and did NOT die we concluded that indeed this IS eco friendly.

We had our first dance lesson. posted by TJ

Last Thursday night Erin and I had our first Dance Lesson at Ballroom Dance Chicago. We showed up a bit nervous but once we started going, we were doing the Foxtrot.

I think the hardest part of the whole thing is keeping form and a strong frame. We have another lesson this week so more to come.

I'm going on a Helicopter Ride! posted by TJ

For our 2 year anniversary, Erin got me some new black and white wing-tip shoes like I've always wanted, which worked out well since I got us dancing lessons! But that's not all! She not only got me my dream shoes (which I'll probably wear in the wedding) but also a helicopter ride/lesson in the skies above Chicago! Is she the best woman ever or what!? Thanks Hon.

This weekend marks our 2 year anniversary, and for it, TJ got us dancing lessons! This coming Thursday we will walk up the road a block and see how many toes we can break. Hopefully our instructor is patient. Should be exciting!

Trip to Iowa posted by Erin

TJ and I just got back from Iowa. It was nice to see our parents and TJ's grandpa. We also met with our officiant, Candice, we talked about the ceremony and picked out some readings and what not. Hopefully next time we go home we can hop over to Black Hawk State Park to pick out the area we're going to have the ceremony.

TJ and I got our invitations back from the printer this week. We designed them ourselves- so it was nerve racking to see them for the first time printed. Good news though, It turns out that we did all the measuring and calculations right!
